Huperzine is a nutraceutical extracted from Chinese club moss (Huperzia serrata) that works as a potent, selective and long-term protector of the naturally occurring neurotransmitter, acetylcholine (ACh). To effectively enhance memory and learning, it is critical for ACh to have uninhibited performance, a function that is hindered by the presence of acetylcholine esterase (AChE), which works to break down ACh.
