Constipation is a common challenge for many. Low fiber intake, poor hydration, prolonged stress, medications and other lifestyle factors can be major contributors to constipation and GI discomfort. Fiber helps keep things moving in the GI tract, but many patients enjoying the standard American diet do not get enough fiber to meet their needs.

There are many different constipation relief products, and we must discern the benefits of using insoluble versus soluble fiber, gut stimulants, laxatives, or gentle-acting botanicals to enhance gut motility and relieve GI discomfort in your patients.

Join Jeff Robins, RPh as he discusses the following during the webinar:

  • Basic gastrointestinal motility physiology
  • Consequences of constipation
  • The importance of dietary fiber
  • The different forms of fiber used to enhance GI motility
  • The migrating motor complex and peristatic movement in the GI tract
