Sufficient amounts of antioxidants, like those found in Oxitrol, combat the advancement of cell-damaging free radicals while supporting the body's critical functions and immune defenses.

The body is constantly producing free radicals from metabolic processes that occur on a daily basis. Free radicals are also formed as a result of environmental factors, including toxins in the food we eat and the air we breathe. Antioxidants are required to neutralize these free radicals in order to avoid oxidative stress that can impair cellular function. Antioxidants neutralize free radicals by donating an electron to a free radical. N-acetyl cysteine is known for being able to increase levels of glutathione, another powerful antioxidant, and alpha lipoic acid is well known for its ability to restore vitamins E and C and glutathione pools in the body. Oxitrol provides an added boost of antioxidant support by including these powerful antioxidants, plus phytonutrient antioxidants green tea, quercetin and red wine concentrate.

Oxitrol was developed to provide the body with a broad spectrum of antioxidant support from a combination of vitamins and plant-based phytonutrients. By providing optimal amounts of antioxidants together in one formula, Oxitrol helps combat the advancement of free radicals while supporting the body’s critical functions and immune defenses.

Suggested Use:

  • Enhances Immune Function to Support Overall Health
  • Supports Healthy Inflammatory Balance
  • Boosts Cardiovascular Health

Alpha Lipoic Acid

Alpha lipoic acid (ALA) is a potent, multipurpose antioxidant that is both water and fat soluble. ALA is able to “recharge” vitamins C and E and glutathione. Recent studies have shown ALA promotes blood sugar balance both in whole body and in skeletal muscle. One study, using oral dosing, showed that ALA increases insulin sensitivity by 27%.

Green Tea Extract (EGCG)

Used for centuries as a health tonic, green tea is a potent antioxidant. Green tea’s extensively researched active component, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), has been repeatedly shown to protect against free radical damage. EGCG supports a healthy inflammatory cycle in the body by blocking NFkB activity. EGCG also supports cardiovascular health by interfering with free radical generation in macrophages. Research has shown that green tea supports the immune system by targeting and calming histamine-producing cells.

A flavonoid found in a variety of herbs, vegetable and fruits, quercetin is a potent antioxidant which promotes a balanced cycle of inflammation by inhibiting inducible ICAM-1 expression. Quercetin has also been shown to strengthen the gastrointestinal barrier. Quercetin plays a beneficial role in cardiovascular health by supporting healthy endothelial cells and supporting the normal inflammatory process.

Red Wine Concentrate

A growing body of evidence is demonstrating how components of red grapes can have powerful effects on health, particularly protecting the cardiovascular and immune system. Oxidative stress caused by free radicals affects the integrity of arterial blood vessels and also causes oxidation of low-density lipoproteins (LDL). Research has shown that components of red grapes (including both skins and seeds) positively support vascular health.

N-Acetyl Cysteine

N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) is one of the few antioxidants found to raise levels of glutathione, an important antioxidant used in many different metabolic processes within the body. Maintaining adequate levels is important to maintain balanced inflammation to support the health of the respiratory, hepatic, and immune systems. Though studies have shown the absorption of oral glutathione to be limited, supplementation with NAC has been shown to significantly increase circulating levels of glutathione in the body.
